At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

Goal of Section:
Convey impact of the business group they will be joining on Marvell and the world.

Questions To Answer In This Section:
• What can’t Marvell do if they do not have this team to execute?
• What projects is this team responsible for delivering? What do they work on every day?
• Why should you work on this team vs another team doing the same project at another company?
• How is this technology used in the world that most people would recognize?

What You Can Expect

  • Act as a Senior Software Architect within the CTO organization, shaping next‑generation AI networking and system architectures

  • Own and write critical software that applies AI‑driven protocols, algorithms, or research innovations into real, deployable systems

  • Bridge the gap between AI researchers, architects, and product teams, ensuring that new AI protocols and ideas are:

    • Architecturally sound

    • Implementable at scale

    • Integrated into Marvell platforms and products

  • Architect and implement end‑to‑end software solutions, spanning:

    • Control plane, data plane, orchestration, and hardware acceleration

  • Lead cross‑disciplinary initiatives involving software, hardware, architecture, and research teams

  • Translate advanced concepts and requirements (from researchers, hyperscalers, and internal stakeholders) into:

    • Detailed software architecture

    • Concrete implementations and technical specifications

  • Drive and defend key architectural and software tradeoffs (performance, scalability, latency, reliability, cost) with senior technical and executive stakeholders

  • Mentor engineers and help build the next generation of technical leaders in AI systems and networking software

What We're Looking For

  • Over 25 years of experience in application-level software engineering, with at least 10 years in software architecture role, with demonstrated ownership of complex software systems

  • Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models into production applications, including REST/gRPC APIs, model serving, and inference pipelines.

  • Strong background in data architecture across private and public clouds: data lakes, data warehouses, streaming pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink), and ETL/ELT frameworks.

  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, Go, or Scala).

  • Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and proven track record of development in these areas

  • Experience with DevOps/MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform, Pulumi), and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)

  • Strong grasp of security best practices in cloud environments: IAM, secrets management, network security, and data encryption.

  • Experience with high‑performance and accelerated networking, such as: DPDK, kernel‑bypass, SR‑IOV, SmartNICs, hardware offload

  • Ability to work in high ambiguity, bridging research, architecture, and implementation

  • Strong technical leadership, mentoring, and cross‑organizational influence skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Serve as the technical authority and trusted advisor for cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Conduct architecture reviews, define coding standards, and champion engineering excellence.

  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
