About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Haskell engineer who has familiarity with Rust, who would be able to help us integrate Ethereum and the Rust Ethereum client (reth) into our Chainweb blockchain architecture. The role will involve integrating the two environments, assessing areas of difficulty and proposing solutions, and helping us develop an efficient and capable union of the two technologies.

This position will report directly to our Engineering Manager, with the opportunity to grow with the role and company.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Evaluate and write Haskell code in Chainweb to integrate with reth
  • Evaluate and write Rust code to help integrate with reth. There may not be as much new Rust code, as understanding the intent of the Rust code found in reth
  • Understand the Chainweb blockchain architecture and the implications of what it means to incorporate Ethereum’s technology stack within it
  • Work on cross-chain transactions between Pact and Ethereum chains
  • Explore possibilities of running such an Ethereum side-chain as an L2 clearing to the main Ethereum blockchain

What Sets You Apart

  • Self-motivated and comfortable with remote work
  • Able to comprehend and solve difficult problems at the right level of abstraction
  • Knowledgeable about existing technologies, or able to research and learn what is needed
