Your Role and Responsibilities


We are now looking for a Sales Support Engineer (Mechanical) to strengthen our team. In this role, you will bring your mechanical engineering expertise into our Sales organization, helping convert customer needs into reliable, technically sound, and competitive solutions. You will work closely with customers, local sales teams, electrical engineers, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of performance and quality.

You will mainly be responsible for:

  • Transforming customer specific requirements into mechanical solutions, working seamlessly with electrical engineers to create complete and compliant system designs.
  • Delivering high quality project documentation, including dimension drawings, ordering details, and essential engineering analyses such as bearing calculations.
  • Designing and modifying cast iron and aluminum components, using mechanical engineering best practices and applying (or learning) FEM analysis for new and customized parts.
  • Engaging with customers and sales teams, participating actively in meetings and customer visits to ensure clarity, accuracy, and high technical credibility.
  • Driving continuous improvement, collaborating closely with sourcing, engineering, operations, and factory floor teams to enhance project delivery efficiency and working methods.

Qualifications for the Role

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery; experience in electric motor design is a plus 
  • Ability to work with cast iron and aluminum component designs 
  • Experience or willingness to develop skills in FEM analysis 
  • Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken
  • A proactive, solution oriented mindset with openness to new ideas and ways of working 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams 
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits
