We are currently looking for a Treasury Analyst 1 to join our team in Mississauga, ON (Hybrid).

This role will be responsible for assisting in Cash Management and Financial Planning for Nissan Canadian Operations including monitoring of daily cash movements, preparing and updating cash management forecasts. Provides support to operational areas in projects that require banking services, and assisting departments with banking issues. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Job functions Include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daily cash management operations including daily cash administration, management of current accounts and bank relationships, including Journal creation for bank account transactions, ensuring activities posted to both cash and clearing GL accounts are reviewed and reconciled promptly, receiving incoming wire transfers and processing outgoing wire transfers and perform bank reconciliations (reconciliation of the bank statement against the GL and reconciliation of any assigned clearing accounts).

  • Monitor intra-day cash positions on a real-time basis and coordinate with business units to ensure sufficient daily liquidity.

  • Preparation of daily cash package and balance analysis

  • Manage daily short-term consolidated cash flow forecasting.

  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports for Treasury activities as required.

  • Assist in month end activities including creating and posting journal entries

  • Prepare monthly financial Reporting packages and assist in the budget and reforecast process.

  • Perform variance analysis between Budget Plan and Actuals.

  • Maintain budget/reforecast information within financial models.

  • Coordinate financial questions/answers among Treasury and Accounting.

  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance (CTP or CFA are considered an asset).

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance/Accounting and in Treasury (Cash Management).

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Access).

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong initiative, self-driven and motivated; Ability to work independently or within a team.
