Job Description

Rockwell Automation's Safety, Sensing and Industrial Component Business (SIC) is seeking an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Brand Label Engineer to be a member of a product development team responsible for the evaluation, qualification, and release of brand labeled and factored products. This role is a cross between Supplier Quality Engineering, Test Engineering, and Business Development functions.

As the Brand Label Engineer, you bring and a global mindset with deeper cultural understanding to the team while working hand in hand with Product Marketing team members. You will act as the technical point person within the SIC business for the branded product line.

You bring proven ability to manage projects to established development process, prepare engineering documentation, test products to qualify performance, and collaborate technically with multi-national partners while working in a heavily matrixed cross functional global team environment.

You will report to the Sr Engineering Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects to established development process
  • Prepare engineering documentation, test products to qualify performance
  • Collaborate technically with multi-national partners while working in a matrixed global team environment.
  • Participate in the preparation of project schedule and project plan (support for project manager)
  • Responsibility for defining the Functional Requirements Specification based on Product Requirements defined by the Product Marketing team
  • Participate in the test plan and test case preparation
  • Support the project team in Pilot and PPAP activities
  • Preparation of internal technical documentation based on RA requirements
  • Preparation of technical documents required for RA customer
  • Supporting the Cert. Engineer in the Product Compliance Verification Process
  • Support of Continuation Engineering post-release activities
  • Support of customer engineering support teams

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 2 or more years of experience.
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically or internationally

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Desire to develop new products by collaborating with strategic external partners and qualifying their designs to meet Rockwell Automation functional requirements.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with electro-mechanical designs/PCB-based products/complex assemblies
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control panel solutions and applications along with UL and IEC standards for industrial control products
  • Experience using engineering test equipment to analyze and troubleshoot products/components
  • Experience with EMC/EMI, shock & vibration testing, and ingress testing
