The Transaction Banking Product Management team is responsible for expanding existing product capabilities with a unique opportunity to build new payments and treasury products end-to-end at enterprise scale.

Market Management partners closely with Product and Capability leads, as well as Coverage, Marketing, Communication and Public & Corporate Affairs across TD. The team plays a critical role by strengthening how TD understands the market, and helping ensure that capabilities, both existing and emerging, are consistently understood and effectively positioned in the market.

Job Description/Accountabilities

The (market titled) Vice President – FI / NBFI Segment Lead owns the end-to-end Market Management agenda for the Financial Institutions (FI) and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) vertical within Transaction Banking. You will be accountable for creating a differentiated market presence through thought leadership, client events, conference strategy, external messaging, and brand/program management, with product, origination/coverage, marketing/communications, and senior executives.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following categories:

Vertical strategy and annual activation plan

  • Own the FI/NBFI vertical market management strategy: target audiences, priority themes, messaging pillars, and annual goals.

  • Build the annual integrated plan across thought leadership, events, conferences, and messaging.

  • Align priorities across stakeholders and ensure activities align to business objectives.

Conference and sponsorship strategy

  • Own FI/NBFI conference strategy: where to show up, how to show up, and what “success” looks like.

  • Manage sponsorship evaluation and ROI discipline (audience fit, speaking access, brand placement, lead-quality signals, executive time value).

  • Drive speaker strategy (topics, abstracts, speaker selection, rehearsals, messaging) and oversee supporting materials.

Thought leadership program

  • Set the FI/NBFI editorial agenda and lead development of client-relevant content.

  • Partner with internal SMEs and external bodies to bring credibility and differentiated insights aligned with business strategy and client solution launches.

  • Consult on RFP/RFI responses from a strategic perspective as well as actively contributing to responses from a product and market perspective.

External messaging, brand presence, and campaigns

  • Develop FI/NBFI-ready narrative and messaging for external events (e.g., webinars, podcasts) and channels (e.g., website, social, client communication).

  • Convert market signals into actions: refreshed messaging, event themes, speaker narratives, battlecards, and “why us” differentiation for internal teams.

  • Coordinate with marketing, communications and public & corporate affairs teams to ensure a consistent voice across the broader enterprise for the FI/NBFI segment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years in transaction banking, FI coverage, payments/cash management, or adjacent institutional banking roles; or equivalent consulting/strategy experience with deep domain exposure.

  • Strong working knowledge of the transaction banking and payments landscape, including modernization trends and how they apply across segments.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional execution

Successful candidates may be assessed through a case study as well as several rounds of interviews.

Is This Role Right for You?

  • Do you have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment?

  • Do you take personal accountability for your work and see challenges as opportunities to grow?

  • Are you excited by the idea of contributing to meaningful, transformational change?

If these questions resonate with you, we would love to hear from you!
