Position Summary
Responsible for organizational sales targets within Medicare National External Distribution among key accounts and defined organizational initiatives.
Develops and executes strategic sales plans in line within Medicare business line aimed to consistently achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Develops and nurtures National Account relationships to drive customer acquisition, satisfaction, and retention within the defined scope of Medicare Advantage products and associated guidelines.
Collaborates with sales and executive leadership to establish National Account sales targets, performance metrics, and strategies to penetrate new markets or expand within existing markets.
Consults on the value proposition of the company's Medicare Advantage products and services, demonstrating how they address client needs and deliver tangible business outcomes.
Develops and presents proposals, negotiates contracts, and navigates complex client business arrangements to ensure compliant sales and marketing activities that result in individual and collective team new issued sales performance targets.
Analyzes sales data to identify trends, evaluate sales performance, and recommend strategies for improvement from both a sales production and account management perspective.
Not only responsible for an individual sales target achievement in each Medicare Advantage sales period and annually, but also for the supporting strategic partner plans as directed by the Executive Director and Head of Strategic Medicare Distribution Partnerships.
Coordinates with internal account management, sales support, learning & performance, IT, product, legal, compliance and finance teams to ensure seamless and compliant delivery of products or services and address customer needs effectively.
Interviews and selects new team members as applicable and facilitates the onboarding process, ensuring they receive necessary training and resources to succeed in their roles.
Fosters a positive and collaborative team culture and mentors team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Works directly with a team that carries out processes for sales, account management, and business retention. Establishes policies and programs in sales, account management, and business retention for products and services in support of profitable growth and organizational objectives. Directs processes for account management functions.
Required Qualifications
Currently active Producer license in resident state and in good standing
7-10 years work experience in Medicare Advantage sales and marketing with a minimum of five years in sales leadership positions at the overall market, regional or national level
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time during key periods and minimum of 25% overall. Overnight travel, air travel and stays up to four nights possible
Adept at problem solving and decision making skills within the Medicare Advantage product line
Adept at collaboration and teamwork with both internal and external constituents
Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills with proven and defined success
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
Adept at business intelligence and use of both internal and external resources for effective planning and action
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as Sales Leader with direct reports and large regional or national insurance agencies
Second language with Spanish a preferred second language
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
Masters degree a plus
Must be current with all continuing education requirements for producer license in resident state

The typical pay range for this role is:
$68,000.00 - $142,392.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
