The Business Development Grp Mgr is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the brokerage network with strong focus on credit cycle and people management
  • Leads/participates in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes.
  • End-to-end focus on customer experience and Bank (Stakeholders) – from prospectation , application/underwriting strategy , booked loan and customer existing managment.
  • Lead cross functional teams & Knowledge– partner & influence effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, including research -competitors , credit channels , operations, finance, analytics, risk management, legal, compliance and tech.
  • P&L management – deep understanding of P&L to ensure products both deliver market leading customer value value to our shareholders
  • Provide sales leadership to Sales Heads, RMs/ROs, and Service RMs/Officers to exceed financial plan numbers and net promoter score targets
  • Collaborates on Loan and Account origination process design, enhancements and cross-sell tools.
  • Develop, motivate, and empower team members to fully realize their potential and to maximize sales opportunities for the brokerage business
  • Responsible for business development of the affluent to create new investment and banking opportunities
  • Establish and develop strong partnerships with the bank and other businesses units to develop new client relationships
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Good in-depth knowledge of financial products and services Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure the maintenance of operational controls that exceed audit standards Hands-on knowledge of branch and AML functions
  • Advanced people management skills, coaching skills, and problem solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Results-driven and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • PMO

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
