Job Summary:
The Lead SDET is responsible for driving quality across multiple squads, defining and implementing testing strategies, and mentoring team members. This role requires a strong foundation in software testing, automation, and data technologies, along with leadership capabilities to influence quality direction across teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Define, implement, and drive adoption of comprehensive testing strategies across multiple teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, etc.) to integrate quality into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Mentor and guide SDETs, fostering continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
  • Promote early quality interventions through practices like shifting testing left.
  • Advocate for appropriate testing methodologies, including BDD, TDD, and performance testing.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven leadership experience in quality engineering and testing strategy implementation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of quality and best practices within an organization.

Role-specific Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, including Star Schema design and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong SQL skills (SQL Server & Oracle).
  • Expertise in automation framework design and implementation using Python and Pytest.
  • In-depth knowledge of core testing concepts, including test case management, defect management, and BDD using Gherkin.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.
