What You Will Contribute:
 

This position is responsible for devolving and maintenance of manufacturing UI and AP websites. This highly impactful role will be working on key initiatives to redevelop our internal manufacturing websites, manufacturing data interfaces, and unit testing platforms. The software engineer will participate in one or more phases of the software development life cycle (i.e. requirements/definition/analysis, software design/implementation, software verfication/validation) in accordance with company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Mentor junior engineers providing technical guidance, support, and feedback.  

  • Assist in user requirements gathering and perform developing, designing, coding, and testing software products and features to enhance new or existing applications to meet user needs.

  • Start to lead small to mid-size projects as assigned.

  • Perform project management functions for the assigned projects by providing a list of all tasks involved in those assignments, an estimate of each one's completeness, an estimate of the number of hours needed to complete the task, and the relationship between all such tasks.  

  • Assist SQA in defining test requirements and the implementation of the validation test plan.  

  • Conduct research in software and computer technology for use in the manufacturing environment.  

  • Recommend upgrades for existing systems and programs. Debug the application and fix bugs  

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to come up with the best solutions.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of related experience in an Engineering role desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline with a strong focus and background in Mathematics, Statistics or Analytics required

  • Advanced skill level in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

  • Experience with MS Visual Studio, C#, and JavaScript

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Entity Framework, SignalR, Razor, AWS, TFS, Git, GitHub, SQL queries, and SQL Server strongly preferred

  • Knowledgeable of software development concepts, processes, and tools.

  • Demonstrates strong initiative, motivation, appropriate judgment, and decision-making.

  • Assists in defining problems and causes and applies problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, multitask, prioritize and work in a team environment.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, maintain open communication, and have positive working relationships with staff.
