What will this role achieve?

We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals for Warehouse Team Member roles at MDC. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced distribution environment managing the inbound and outbound of finished goods.

It is for this reason that we provide Warehouse employees with smart uniforms once completed the six month probationary period. You will be issued relevant PPE at induction and we will expect you to wear this at all times.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • 2 weeks training when you join – FLT / Counterbalance/ VNA / PPT

  • Report all accidents and near misses.

  • Offloading finished goods and packaging into the Warehouse

  • Loading finished goods onto trailers

  • Picking product from pick-face

  • Use of an FLT/Counterbalance/PPT/VNA

  • Accurate receipt of stock and inputting into WMS system.

  • Maximise Warehouse efficiency whilst minimising waste.

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the Warehouse whilst carrying out quality inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest of levels.

  • Supporting the business with the generation of any improvement Initiatives.

Essential

The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team and be able to perform the various roles required. They must have a ‘can do’ attitude and positive approach and help maintain the high standards required in distribution activities.

Desirable

FLT Licence experience is desirable but not essential. All training will be provided – you will be considered with/without an FLT licence.

Shift Pattern

Warehouse Annualised hours – 8 week rotating shift pattern

  • 2 weeks – Mornings - Monday-Friday 6am-2pm

  • 2 weeks – Afternoons – 1st week Sunday 10am – 8pm and 2pm – 10pm Monday – Friday. 2nd week – Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

  • 2 weeks - Nights - Sunday 8pm-6am and then Monday - Friday 10pm-6am                    

  • 2 weeks - Weekends - Saturday 6am-4pm, Sunday 10am-8pm        

Reserves hours are paid back in either 4 hour or 7.5 hour slots.

When working 6-2, you will be asked to work 1 or 2, 12 hour shifts per week (6am-6pm). When working 2-10, you will be asked to work 1 or 2, 12hrs shifts per week (10am-10pm).

When working nights you will be asked to work 1 or 2, 12 hour shifts per week ( 6pm-6am). When on weekends you will be asked to work 1 or 2, 7.5 hour shifts per week, these full shifts could be on either 6-2/2-10/nights.
