About the Role

The primary responsibility of the position will be to support the Regional Chief Executive (RCE) office in providing oversight of the markets, monitoring the performance of the local business unit (LBU) against plans, and to help share and bring in the best practices of AIA Group and other markets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the review of the business strategy/plan of LBUs under the RCE’s purview and ensuring that the strategy and plans are in line with Group Strategy.
  • Closely coordinate with the LBUs on management reporting and reviewing business & financial results on monthly basis.
  • Supporting the RCE through managing the annual business planning process and consolidating business plans of the LBUs under jurisdiction.
  • Supporting investor relations team and RCE in quarterly and half yearly investor relations process for local business units under the RCE’s jurisdiction
  • Responsible for reviewing the spend beyond the CEO’s limits of the business units under the RCE’s purview and making the appropriate recommendations.
  • Supporting the RCE in the preparation of required reporting expected at the Group Exco and responsible for the consolidation of the performance of business units required at Group level.
  • Participate in the annual budget process. Support the review on the business plans of the LBUs and drive the periodic business review of the financial performance. Develop and implement analytical tools for the periodical review of the financial performance of business units under the RCE’s purview.
  • Participate in Group projects and partner business units in key projects.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of all-round business planning experience with the last 5 years in financial sector.
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for Senior Manager level
  • Has worked in insurance environment.
  • Preferably with MNCs.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • High energy level and proactive.
  • Analytical and result-driven.
