Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications. This role involves leading technical projects that enhance platforms by integrating backend services, implementing AI-powered automation, and ensuring system stability and scalability. The candidate will contribute across all development lifecycle phases, promote CI/CD best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the organization’s digital innovation and operational excellence.
Software Requirements
Required Software Proficiency:
Java (latest version, Java 21+) — extensive experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance solutions
Spring Framework (MVC, JPA) — deep expertise supporting microservices architecture and ORM-based data access
Hibernate — proficient in ORM concepts and database interaction support
REST API & SOAP over JMS (Apache CXF, Apache Camel) — strong ability in creating and consuming web services supporting distributed systems
Databases: Oracle, MongoDB — supporting data persistence, transaction management, and scalability
Version Control: GIT, GitHub Enterprise (GHE) — managing code versioning and collaborative development workflows
Preferred Software Skills:
CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Team City, uDeploy, Hermes, OpenShift — supporting automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines
Automation tools: Autosys, Light Speed — for job scheduling, orchestration, and operational automation
Protocols: JSON, XML, YAML, curl/Postman — for API testing and data interchange support
Cloud platforms: Support for cloud-native deployment in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments (preferred)
Overall Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure enterprise applications—primarily in financial or regulated environments
Guide and mentor a team of developers, enforcing coding standards, best practices, and architecture principles
Translate business requirements into scalable solutions involving microservices, APIs, and cloud deployment strategies
Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and implement improvements supporting system reliability and efficiency
Develop comprehensive test plans, automated test scripts, and deployment pipelines supporting CI/CD workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
Support environment configurations, system upgrades, and migration activities supporting regulatory compliance and operational excellence
Document system architecture, code, API specifications, and operational procedures for team and audit purposes
Evaluate emerging technologies and build proof-of-concept solutions to inform future infrastructure improvements

Prior experience working in regulated industries or complex financial environments supporting compliance and security standards (preferred)
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop, review, and optimize Java microservices, APIs, and backend components supporting enterprise applications
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to implement features and support deployment pipelines
Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure solutions meet performance and security requirements
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues, including performance tuning and bug fixes
Support cloud, containerization, and automation workflows supporting continuous delivery and operational resilience
Document system architecture, deployment strategies, and operational procedures supporting compliance and scalability
Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospective meetings, and technical review sessions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
6+ years supporting scalable Java microservices, APIs, and cloud-native enterprise solutions
Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE or cloud platform certifications (preferred)
Proven track record of delivering high-volume, compliant, and secure enterprise systems supported by microservices architecture
