In this role, you will join a dynamic team essential to advancing our drug product pipeline by providing innovative technology and data solutions for R&D Informatics Product Teams.   • Team Leadership: Build, lead, develop, and retain strong, multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers and R&D domain analysts, to deliver on the R&D pipeline.
  • Vision and Roadmap: Shape and implement the vision and roadmap for the technology ecosystem in partnership with R&D Informatics Product leadership and key collaborators to support R&D software, infrastructure, and data needs.
  • Product Lifecycle and Continuous Improvement: Oversee the entire lifecycle of software and data products, from development and testing to deployment and ongoing maintenance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, staying updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, including those in the US and other international locations, to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence across regions and functions.
  • Security and Governance: Integrate enterprise security and data governance principles into all software and data product solutions to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Innovative Technology Use: Lead the R&D Informatics function in developing and applying emerging computational methods, analytics, infrastructure, and data insights.
  • External Networking: Strengthen external networks to ensure strategies are developed with consideration of global factors, competitive intelligence, and new possibilities offered by information technology.
  • Alignment and Mentorship: Mentor staff to align with DTI & R&D Informatics strategy, offering guidance and career development opportunities.

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of Informatics Systems experience OR
  • Master’s degree and 14 to 16 Informatics Systems experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 16 to 18 years of Informatics Systems experience
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Experience understanding scientific and business processes in drug discovery and development
  • Experience leading and managing staff, collaborating in a matrixed organization, and demonstrating superb interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data pipeline development
  • Understanding of scientific data strategy, data governance, data infrastructure
  • Experience with key collaborator management, managing a team of 20, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and driving the successful delivery of technical projects

Professional Certifications:

  • SAFe for Teams certification (preferred)
  • SAFe Product Owner and SAFe Product Manager (preferred)

  • Excellent leadership, coaching and team management skills.
  • Strong transformation and change management experience.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully.
