REPORTS TO:

 - Direct line: Marion Fischer (Pro Bono Counsel)

- Globally: Marion Palmer (Global Head of Sustainability, Policy and Strategy)

WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, 9:00am to 6:00pm but additional hours may be required (part-time employment can be discussed)

The Community Investment, Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships team is a global network of regional managers who coordinate and facilitate relevant activities with guidance from regional sponsoring partners. The team is managed globally by the Global Head of Sustainability.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Key responsibilities of Community Investment Advisor CE include:

  • Deliver on the community investment, fundraising and strategic partnership components of our firm’s global business plan / help implement our Responsible Business targets in CE
  • Increase pro bono and community investment opportunities in CE offices
  • Provide support to local fundraising activities and matched giving across CE offices
  • Support the pro bono team in delivering our HL BaSE Training programme and BaSE Catalyst workshops, involving our corporate clients and HL lawyers
  • Continue to build and initiate new strategic partnerships and networks with NGOs, charities and social enterprises across the region
  • Work with the HL Learn team to deliver HL Induction Days / involve new joiners in the Responsible Business programme
  • Contribute to the global initiative to track impact from community investment, fundraising and strategic partnership activities and assist in the provision of data to our global ESG reporting team
  • Work with PR/comms teams to increase external visibility of our Responsible Business activities, where applicable (HL.com/social media)

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have at least two to three years post qualification experience (or equivalent experience). Candidates must have knowledge of the impact sector and an understanding of the role of corporates in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Candidates will ideally have previous experience working in or with social businesses and/or NGOs as well as managing large and/or cross-jurisdictional volunteering projects and managing partnerships with non-profit organizations. Knowledge of impact measurement and reporting is an advantage.

Fluency in English (and ideally one more European language) is a must.
