This role supports locations in El Segundo, Long Beach, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach, CA as well as remote locations affiliated with the business based in the region.  The primary work location is El Segundo, CA and the expectation is for regular travel between our Southern California and Colorado sites. Other travel (10-25%) may be required based on business needs to other Boeing sites (leadership meetings, etc.).

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a strategic partner for business leadership teams.  As the liaison between the GREF organization and our business partners you will communicate about facilities support activities on the sites and our facilities strategy overall. You are expected to be knowledgeable about all overarching facilities initiatives as well as maintaining a pulse on site level facilities operations activities. You will also be expected to understand the business partners business strategy (production targets, new business capture, financial targets, etc.) and what impacts that may have on the facilities organization.

In this role you will also act as the liaison between the GREF organization and the business partner in support of business partner driven requests for studies and projects. You will receive requirements from the business and work with our various Centers of Expertise to identify optimal solutions. You will enable reviews of solutions with the business partner for approval and alignment and then work with the COEs to support execution for the selected option.

The BRM role is also heavily engaged in the annual budget development process as they identify business requirements and prioritization and provide that information to our GREF organization.  This position may have few to no direct report employees but is responsible for partnering closely with the service delivery Centers of Expertise (COE’s) to ensure business requirements are supported.  You will collect strategic information about the businesses you support and collaborate with GREF leadership to identify strategies for our service organization to improve.  Collaboration in strategic and operational planning with the executive team and Center of Expertise partners, as well as operational leadership and management will be critical to your success.

The GREF organization supports the company’s large domestic and international footprint as part of Boeing's Enterprise Services function, which also includes Indirect Supply Chain, Executive Flight Operations, and Executive Protection. As Boeing continues to grow, and our function works to be an enabler to business success, we are building teams and leaders with growth mindsets to anticipate & grow to meet the needs of the company at large. In addition, it will serve a strategic leadership purpose to help develop the future workforce strategy requirements of the organization and influence pipelines for talent and development within those future structures.

This position will integrate the services of five Centers of Expertise with the activities of the Business we support.  The COE’s include Engineering & Technology, Facilities Management, Global Real Estate, Planning & Asset Management, and Project & Construction Management.  The COE teams are responsible for delivering the services while the Business Relationship Managers are responsible to the businesses and the COE’s for ensuring we’re aligned on the right services and priorities.  This highly collaborative role within a matrixed organization requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to take ownership of challenges so the teams can navigate through them.
