About the Role

The Sr. Investigator II will serve as the central leader for customer and carrier vetting standards across Mexico and relevant US business units. This role requires experience in customer or carrier vetting or broader risk-management activities within logistics or similar industries. The position will ensure that all vetting processes are consistently executed through strong, uniform SOPs, partnering with vetting owners across brokerage, transportation management, customs, and other UF teams, who will maintain a dotted-line alignment to this role. In addition, the Compliance Officer will develop and deliver training programs to help teams identify potential red flags related to cartel involvement and outline the appropriate steps to take when such risks are detected.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Be a subject matter expert on shipper and transportation provider vetting for Mexico and US-Mexico Crossborder operations
  • Conduct periodic audits of vetting controls and vulnerability assessments, offer corrective action plans as needed
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure awareness of and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Ops teams, Security, Quality, StratOps, and product teams
  • Create, maintain and deliver necessary internal training for Mexico and cross border compliance operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of logistics and transportation regulatory requirements, including cross-border considerations
  • Prior experience in the transportation industry
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, or improve standard operating procedures related to regulatory adherence or vetting processes
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies, customs authorities, or law-enforcement entities in either the US or Mexico
  • Strong program-management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
  • Prior experience working in an IC role that required autonomy, high judgment, and building processes from scratch
  • Exposure to ethics, sanctions, or anti-terrorism regulatory environments in a corporate or logistics context
