Payroll Specialist (Switzerland)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of payroll services in line with local legal regulations, corporate policies and procedures.
  • Execute and support end-to-end payroll processing for Swiss GSK entities in close collaboration with the internal customer and payroll stakeholders;
  • Updating and maintaining payroll records (joiners/leavers/changes) and payroll master data
  • Manage payroll month-end close process, prepare payroll reports and ensure smooth payroll authorization;
  • Reporting and payrolling for international employees (shadow payroll) and for permanently relocated employees
  • Maintain close contact with internal and external auditors to ensure the payroll calculations;
  • Respond to reference requests for current and previous employees and maintain files and documents physically or electronically as per the local legislation requirements;
  • Share feedback with the HR lead, and regional/global contacts to continuously improve processes linked to payroll.
  • Maintaining the payroll software; responsibility for testing the system after required updates (legal and GSK-required)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Min. 3 years of experience in Swiss payroll
  • Practical knowledge of payroll and collaboration with payroll vendor
  • Good knowledge and practice in using MS Office and Abacus (payroll software)
  • Knowledge of German and French welcomed

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ability to perform the tasks in compliance with existing procedures, strong internal customer focus, excellent communication skills as well as the proactiveness;
  • Sense of ownership of assigned tasks;
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, team spirit, attention to details
