Demand Planner

What you will do  

We are looking for a Demand planner responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products for the region where the person will work with. The Demand Planner creates and maintains sales forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from local sales organization, conducting monthly demand regional consensus meetings, implementing managing data integrity processes, developing and reviewing performance metrics, coordinating the analysis of monthly demand, resolving gaps between consensus and statistical forecasts, and producing and reviewing monthly reports.

How you will do it 

  • Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and other local demand planners to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive demand plans for specific business unit(s) / product line(s) in alignment with internal customer demands.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of the sourcing metrics and scorecards, based on analysis of reports and consolidated data. Monitors sourcing KPI’s and drives them into actions.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis to management on demand planning performance and market trends.
  • Participate and support S&OP meetings with demand information and analysis
  • Contributes in driving operational excellence when translating business strategies & decisions into effective & compliant execution of all related policies and processes. Identifies best business practices via finance / business performance benchmarking and facilitates the implementation of these practices, maximizing its standardization across the region by supporting in creation and implementation of processes.
  • Keeps abreast with Corporate policies, projects and initiatives. Acts as SME for assigned area and provides accurate input & feedback when policies / guidelines are designed or reviewed.
  • Performs related duties as necessary.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain or other relevant fields through experience in Demand Planning / SCM department of a large company.
  • +3 years of experience in Demand Planning or related S&OP roles. Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of software related to demand planning is preferred (Logility or other Demand Planning tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
  • Experienced with other software packages including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge on Power BI or another analytical tool is a plus.
  • Fluent professional English level is a must.
