Regional Director – Transactional Markets Group

Job Overview: The Regional Director (RD) is the central business development resource and relationship manager for principals, key office personnel (marketing, operations and case management) and agents for their assigned accounts within the Transactional Markets Group (TMG). The RD supports their key accounts, supporting our distribution partners’ efforts to meet production commitments for TMGs Simplified Issue Whole Life (SIWL) and Guaranteed Issue Whole Life (GIWL) products available within TMG.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager (NSM) of Distribution for COREBRIDGE FINANCIAL’s Transactional Markets Group channel, this position is designed as a “hybrid” role with approximately 20-30% travel per year.

Job Functions / Responsibilities:

  • The RD is responsible for developing and executing a market development plan, that included identifying new sales & distribution opportunities as well as tactics and plans needed for the profitable growth of existing key relationship.  This can include but in not limited to support and training activities necessary to achieve and exceed sales targets for their assigned accounts.
  • Establish and balance a support schedule between field travel and use of technology tools such as webinars to ensure appropriate frequency of interaction for assigned accounts. Train agencies and agents on COREBRIDGE FINANCIAL products, sales support, programs, systems and processes.  
  • Attend and present on stage to distribution partners’ agents at educational and business development conferences.
  • Conduct oneself in an ethical and compliant manner based on company and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence and ability to interact with senior leadership of key Senior Markets Brokerage General Agencies (BGAs).
  • Work on a collaborative basis with internal wholesaling team, cross-functional business support team (product, marketing, new business, licensing, contracting and commissions, contact center /operations, etc.) and NSM to continue development of specialty markets and products available for distribution by TMG.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts in order to establish and achieve sales targets. Serves as the key contact for problem resolution for their internal sales and case management staff. Works with key COREBRIDGE FINANCIAL operations personnel to resolve customer issues.
  • Continuously analyze relationships to assess market changes, competition, trends, personnel changes or relationship needs, and provide input for potential revisions with business plan (visits, trainings, etc.) accordingly with NSM.
  • Report sales activity within Salesforce on a timely basis.
  • Help manage distributor profitability through scorecard discussions and proactive actions to help ensure productive and profitable relationships.
  • Travels 20-30% of the time.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Expert knowledge of guaranteed issue and simplified issue life products and specialty / senior markets opportunities / existing distribution partners
  • Excellent written, oral and webinar presentation skills
  • Outstanding self-sufficiency and problem-solving aptitudes
  • Sound discretion and judgment abilities
  • Strong listening skills
  • Excellent understanding of technology and savviness of electronic application submission platforms
  • Demonstrated track record of problem-solving and adaptability
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop and deliver effective presentations to a targeted audience

Education:

  • Four year college degree recommended
  • 3+ years of direct sales and/or wholesaling experience
  • Life & Health Insurance License, knowledge and understanding of BGA distribution models.
