Commercial Operations and Marketing Leader – Japan Ultrasound (ULS) is responsible for deploying the ULS commercial operations and strategic marketing roadmap, acting as the central owner for all ULS initiatives within the zone. This position increases commercial intensity and operational rigor and plays a critical role in transforming and optimizing the way the organization operates. The role works closely with the ULS General Manager, Segment Managers, Finance, OTR, Marketing, HCS Commercial Operations Managers, and other Commercial Operations Centers of Excellence (COE). The reporting line is to the Japan Ultrasound GM.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Lead Business KPIs (Maximizing P&L Impact)
- Lead key KPIs including Orders, Sales, and EBIT to maximize P&L impact. Partner with leadership teams to achieve order, sales, and profitability targets. Drive improvement in Say-Do Ratio and pacing linearity. Implement DMS to drive operational execution and accurate forecasting, following up results versus targets and leading post-mortem actions as required.
- Orders: Deploy opportunity management rigor and standardization. Ensure quality of order content.
- Sales: Improve backlog management and S&I conversion rates to maximize pacing. Leverage supply chain strategies (AO, DM, standard configurations) to maximize outcomes.
- Price: Improve OPI through price elasticity analysis. Support deal decision-making through price and margin analysis.
- Cost: Drive reduction and optimization of controllable costs (L&P Release, T&L Controls).
- Drive Commercial Intensity Metrics: Improve visibility and win rate. Participate in building and defining the ULS funnel management guide in SFDC. Drive Win/Loss reviews and action planning. Support Go-to-Market initiatives and ICP management.
- Apply Lean Principles: Create and deploy standard work. Identify best practices and close process gaps. Partner with Commercial Excellence on SFDC/Apttus adoption. Participate in Kaizen and PSP initiatives.
- Process and Tools Improvement: Simplify commercial processes. Drive adoption of SFDC, Apttus, dashboards, and ITO tools. Improve training adoption. Partner with IT and Commercial Excellence.
- Operating Mechanisms and Reporting: Define and drive operating mechanisms. Coordinate MOR and DMS reviews. Ensure system data accuracy. Lead deal review meetings using analytics.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to Policy 5.0/6.0. Assess deal risks per DoA. Ensure proposal quality and FPY improvement. Drive OCCR and concession reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years leadership experience in Commercial Operations or Marketing.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Fluent in English and Japanese.
