The compensation for this position is between $21.5 and $24 per hour, based on the year of studies.

Job Summary

The Finance Intern, Credit Administrator is responsible for the accurate, comprehensive and timely compilation of all credit information pertaining to potential new and existing customers. Also accountable for accurately setting up all pertinent details of the above in the system to meet the deadlines. Demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities to be able to deal with multiple customers at the same time to reach departmental and organizational goals within given time frames.

Principal Responsibilities

• Collect new credit applications and sales tax exemption certificates from new and existing customers. Check that the submitted form is completely filled out, signed, and dated.

• Defines and builds dimensional databases to meet business needs in ERP and SAP.

• Assists in the SAP application and implementation procedures of data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets.

• Compile credit information of all new potential customers and submit to credit analyst or credit manager for approval.  This would include credit applications, credit references and bank references if required.

• Obtain credit or trade references, bank references of existing customers when requested by either credit analyst or credit manager to review the account

• Efficient and accurate set-up of new customers and/or their ship-to locations in the customer master for the sales offices to access to process orders. Advise pertinent personnel of the account number.

• Maintain an accurate customer record in SAP and ERP. Update the customer master when changes occur, such as rep termination, change of payment terms, new ownership, new branded name, change of address, and other information.

• Maintain and periodically review tax exemption certificates.

• Maintain a list of buying group members in Excel for the addition of new members and removal or terminated members.  Update the customer master and advise pertinent personnel about the changes.

• Provide customer service support internally and externally regarding maintaining the customer master.

• Maintain customer manual and electronic credit files in a shared drive in line with the record-keeping requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently enrolled in the second year or beyond of a Commerce, Business Administration, or a closely related program.

• ​Previous work experience in a corporate environment is a plus

• Minimum numerical typing speed – 10,000 keystrokes per hour.

• Working knowledge (intermediate level) of Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Attention to detail and capacity to work in a fast paced environemnt.
