The Event Manager will take the lead on projects requiring creative content creation both at pitch & delivery stage. Due to the nature of work, you will be required to regularly interact with Senior Client Stakeholders, which requires prior experience in event production and a high skillset in communication in order to create credibility. She/he will be responsible for all aspects of a project including:

  • Receiving, challenging and deeply understanding the clients brief and business, conducting a need analyzes
  • Responsible for content creation
  • Creative ideas for event format and agendas
  • Developing engaging and high quality content
  • Overall project management of large and demanding domestic and international events requiring special skills in event productions and technical solutions.
  • Supplier negotiation and management 
  • Client management 
  • Onsite management 
  • Budget management 

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with internal account directors / country leads
  • Update all working files
  • Maximize project revenue by identifying opportunities and successfully selling your ideas to customer.
  • Participate in brainstorming new & innovative event ideas with the team.
  • Provide information to reports when required
  • Maintain and develop own professional skills independently by following the market and new technology market. Share skills and knowledge with the team and the wider company if necessary.

What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to work using own initiative is essential, as well as being part of a growing team
  • Ability to follow set processes and procedures and work with the team to develop & implement
  • Good event industry contacts
  • Experienced at pulling pitches together
  • Knowledge of creative processes for graphic design (2D&3D) and video
  • Excellent knowledge of speaker support production
  • Happy and confident to put forward creative ideas
  • Excellent writing skills
  • At least 10 years relevant producing/event management / production knowledge and background
  • Excellent technical and audio visual knowledge
  • Excellent and proven negotiation skills
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills (Word, advanced Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication, numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Solutions orientated with first class customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines

Additional Requirements

This position will be based at the American Express Meetings & Events office in Vantaa, with flexibility to work from home.

This role requires working onsite at customer events.
