What you'll do...

Position: Manager, Operations Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Act as a subject matter expert for Business Intelligence. Identify and integrate disruptive technologies at an enterprise level (using visualization tools, coding tools, and pipeline automation) focused on fundamentally transforming the way Walmart Connect operates. Collaborate with internal and external business partners to build a consistent and accurate strategy for using data-driven insights and provide expert advice and guidance on the application of best practices. Define the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of complex BI solutions to interpret data, automate processes, and expose operational bottlenecks. Develop transformation processes from manual into BI platform-based solutions. Architect data models and build pipelines leveraging data from various sources. Analyze product behaviors within Walmart Connect including trends, financial/operational data, risks, key performance indicators, and metrics. Conduct ad hoc analyses for special and recurring projects. Translate exposed business challenges into quantitative problems and clearly communicate findings and recommendations in a uniform manner to various management levels within the organization. Coach teams on the pros and cons of diverse types of analytics, data modeling, and automation and provide mentorship on extrapolating and examining insights from large data sets. Provide expertise to other departments regarding profitability measurement, ROI measurement, and impact on revenue. Represent marketing in cross-functional forums, such as pipeline councils and planning meetings. Guide Marketing through annual and quarterly planning process in partnership with Sales, Ops, and FP&A. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Management, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering (any), Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, Management, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing large-scale enterprise business intelligence solutions and automation systems. Experience developing ETL/ELT workflows and utilizing data warehouses for reporting and analytical needs. Experience using one of the following programming languages for storing and processing data: SQL, Python or R. Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel. Experience utilizing one of the following advanced Business intelligence tools: Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience creating and managing data pipelines based on one of the following cloud platforms: Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or AWS. Experience integrating with various data sources using build-in connectors and application programming interfaces. Experience building strategies and implementing optimized ways of reporting, SLA / KPI tracking, and data-driven insights generation. Experience performing data analysis utilizing advanced statistical and analytical methods including Quantitative Research, Exploratory Analysis, Time series, and Predictive Analytics. Experience researching, analyzing, and explaining business and product activities based on large amounts of data and types. Experience presenting findings and providing recommendations to various management levels within an organization. Experience with project management and solution development according to high-standard methodologies. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $107,950/year to $202,000/year.  Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
