ROLE PURPOSE

This position acts as the bridge between commercial payer and business, enabling Sanofi to lead the market in innovative access solutions.

The Payer Innovation Lead shapes Sanofi China’s next-generation multi-payer affordability and payment innovation agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Innovative Payment Models

• Design and implement innovative payment solutions, including:
  • outcomes-based agreements
  • risk-sharing models
  • staged / milestone-based payments
  • blended multi-payer reimbursement pathways
• Build structured affordability models tailored to high-value therapies and multi-indication products.

2. Evidence & Analytics

• Lead advanced payer analytics, including affordability modeling, actuarial logic, risk pools, and cost-impact simulations.
• Deliver payer-ready insights for post-NRDL affordability programs and lifecycle optimization.
• Provide payer economics support for access negotiations.

3. Policy Intelligence & Multi-Payer Ecosystem Strategy

• Identify emerging opportunities, translate payment-policy evolution into actionable business levers.
• Map payer segmentation and identify differentiated payment opportunities.
• Participate in multi-payer pilots and national affordability demonstrations.
• Build national and provincial payer partnership frameworks, especially for commercial insurance, and IDL pilots.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Lead multi-functional payer innovation taskforces (MAx, Policy, HEOR, BU, Finance, Medical).
• Ensure alignment of payer innovation solutions with business strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• 8+ years in market access, insurance, payer innovation, health financing, or policy.
• Proven experience in commercial insurance, multi-payer models, or affordability programs.

Capabilities

• Strong analytical ability, including actuarial / economic modeling or RWE interpretation.
• Excellent government & payer engagement experience.
• Strong communication and negotiation capability with senior stakeholders.

Education

• Master’s degree preferred (Public Health, Health Economics, Policy, Insurance, Medical).
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English.
