GDIT is seeking a position for a Training Operations Integrator / SME (Special Operations) managing and supporting United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and USSOCOM’s subordinate commands, such as the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) requirements. The Training Operations Integrator / SME will be responsible for ensuring overall implementation of Special Operations Forces (SOF) training methodology framework and ensure alignment with USASOC and its strategic partners requirements. Conducts assessment of current SOF training, and exercise planning efforts to verify appropriate training concepts, capabilities, technologies, and solutions and leading the planning, and delivery of multiple projects supporting USSOCOM and its subordinate units, with a primary focus on USASOC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing Special Operations projects and leading cross-functional teams.  

RESPONSIBILITIES - MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

  • Oversee the overall implementation and integration of SOF training methodology framework across multiple projects.
  • Conducts assessments of SOF training, and exercise planning efforts to verify appropriate training concepts, capabilities, technologies, and solutions.
  • Provides support to USASOC and its strategic and operational partners training, exercises, wargames, tabletop exercises (TTX), lessons learned programs, and assessment activities.
  • Ensures delivery of training curricula and exercise execution for individual, collective, and specialized missions, informed by operational requirements, evolving threats, and modernization goals
  • Leading the Planning, Execution, and Supports the Delivery of multiple, complex projects supporting USSOCOM and its subordinate units, with a primary focus on USASOC.   
  • Provides Liaison functions to deconflict, coordinate, and synchronize training and exercise support activities in alignment with USASOC, USSSOCM and its strategic partners.
  • Assists and provides Project Oversight; managing and coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and mitigating risk to ensure programs / projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Resource Management; managing multiple project budgets, allocating resources, qualified staff, and optimizing resource utilization across projects.
  • Special Operations Customer and Stakeholder Management; building and maintaining strong relations with customers and stakeholders, managing customer expectations, addressing their concerns, and resolution of issues.
  • Communication and Reporting; keep customers, stakeholders and internal business senior leadership informed of program status, progress, risks and issues.
  • On Program Growth and Strategic New Business Growth Initiatives; identify, plan and pursue opportunities for on program growth, and strategic new business growth opportunities, and initiatives within the USSOCOM customer market segment in coordination, and collaboration with the Defense Growth Team.
  • Team Leadership; leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring a positive work environment.
  • Process Improvement; implementing best practices and process improvements to enhance program / project delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts / Science
  • Required Experience: Five (5) + Years Management experience managing US Special Operations requirements, and projects
  • Required Technical Experience: 10 + Years experience supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) in SOF Core Mission Areas and SOF Core Operations and Training (Military, Government Civilian or Industry) (USASOC experience preferred)
  • Security Clearance Level: Requires Top Secret Clearance required to start
  • US Citizenship required
  • Travel Required for this Role (50 to 75%)
  • Location: Hybrid work location, Fayetteville, North Carolina

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
