Lumentum is looking for a dynamic and global Vice President of HR Business Partnering (HRBP) to serve as the primary strategic partner to the Executive Vice President of Global Operations within Lumentum and be responsible for HR Business Partnering across all of Lumentum’s APAC locations, including Thailand (3500), Malaysia (30), South Korea (5), China and Hong Kong (3000), Taiwan (100) and Japan (350). In this role, you will report to the Group VP of HR Business Partnering, and you will be located in our Thailand, Navanakorn facility; you will have a global team of fourteen (14) HR Business Partners.

As a critical member of the Global Operations leadership team, will influence business outcomes across the region through HR initiatives. The APAC region consists of one (1) fabrication facility and three (3) test and assembly factories as well R&D design centers. In this role you will focus on building organizational strategies and talent plans for scalability, driving organizational design, change management, and building trusted relationships across all levels at Lumentum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • In partnership with Functional and Site leaders, develop and implement talent strategies that ensures the organization has the right talent to deliver on business growth
  • Bring thought leadership to change management, employee experience, and diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives across the Global Operations function and the APAC region
  • Build a future bench and upscale capabilities through the development of top talent and strategic hires
  • Drive best in class quality and delivery of all HR services and programs (e.g. performance, management, compensation, employee relations, leadership development) within the APAC region and the Global Operations function
  • Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure all elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet and exceed business and site/regional needs
  • Participate in M&A that may occur within APAC
  • Develop and engage your regional HRBP team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Organizational design, workforce strategy and planning efforts to scale and grow and organization
  • Experience in building leaders and managers capabilities
  • The agility to flex between developing strategy and immersing yourself in the details to drive execution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to influence decision-making

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15 plus years of relevant experience in HR at a site and/or regional level  
  • 5 plus year in a senior leadership role managing across multiple countries in Asia 
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Communication or a related discipline
  • Experience partnering with C-suite executives
  • Experience leading HR activities within a manufacturing environment; within a technology environment is a plus
  • Experience working in a matrix HR environment and partnering with international teams
