Job Summary

Job Description

Oversee procurement of supplies, raw materials and various other goods. Plays an important role in the supply chain by supporting companies in reaching their goals, maintaining proper levels of commodities and ensuring a continuous flow of supplies.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Solicit material quotations, perform cost analysis functions, lead cross functional teams to achieve program cost goals.
• Participate in supplier selections and the ISO supplier audit procedure.
• Work with NPD (new product development) team members to insure fast and seamless introductions of new designs to full production.
• Work with Engineering and the Purchasing Manager to source new suppliers and/or work with current suppliers for raw materials/component supply for new designs.
• Interface with Productions, Planning, QA, Sales, Engineering to achieve the smooth flow of goods and services in order to maintain committed schedules to customers.
• Maintain current knowledge of market conditions that affect overall cost, lead time, and availability of raw material.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• 5+ years of experience in the related area
• 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required
• Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes
