The Corporate Development and Investor Relations Manager will play an essential role in the evaluation and execution of M&A transactions. This individual will work across all aspects of the deal process including qualitative and quantitative analysis to support targeting, financial modeling, due diligence, transition and post-merger integration, and investment performance tracking. Moreover, the person will manage investor relations activities to effectively communicate the company’s strategy, financial performance, and value proposition to the investment community. This person should have strong work ethic and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, often supporting multiple projects in parallel. The Corporate Development and Investor Relations Manager will report to the Director of Corporate Development.

Role Responsibilities

Corporate Development

  • Drive large cross-functional due diligence processes, including the management of the teams and virtual data rooms.
  • Develop, maintain and review robust financial/valuation models to evaluate and support corporate development opportunities.
  • Identify and assess new strategic opportunities by developing the M&A pipeline through proactive market and competitive research.
  • Drive the development of executive-level presentation materials and recommendations for the CEO, CFO, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business units and functional leaders to ensure alignment on integration planning and value capture.
  • Monitor and track the performance of previous corporate development investments.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Ad-hoc analysis for senior management.

Investor Relations

  • Support the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, press releases, Q&A documents, and other external communications.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams to ensure prepared materials are reviewed and aligned with key messaging, financial disclosures, and compliance requirements prior to external distribution.
  • Monitor analyst research, peer company performance, and investor sentiment to provide insights to executive leadership.
  • Ensure consistent and transparent messaging to the financial community regarding Western Union’s strategy and performance.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Ad-hoc analysis for senior management.

Role Requirements

  • BA/BS level degree in Business, Finance, or related required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking, valuation/research, private equity, or corporate / business development. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading or playing a major role in multiple phases of the transaction lifecycle.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to translate analysis into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of preparing and delivering senior-level presentations.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience mentoring junior professionals a strong plus.

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $95,400- $125,000. per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
