Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting, and operating Doosan 2100 & 2600 twin spindle lathes with Live tooling.

• Manufacturing tooling for use in compression and injection moulding processes to high tolerances

• Participating in continuous improvement activities in the tool room to improve productivity

• Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team

• Diagnose and resolve in process engineering issues

• Flexibly adapting to shifting work priorities and deadlines

Qualifications:

Essential requirements:

 

-       Time served apprenticeship in CNC Turning

-       Significant additional post-training experience as a CNC Turner

-       Experience programming and setting twin spindle lathes

-       Can read and programme using FANUC

-       Can interpret engineering drawings

-       Experience using live tooling for milled features

 

The following would be desirable but not essential:

-       Can use FeatureCam software or similar.

-       HNC in Mechanical or General Engineering

-       Experience setting and operating 5-axis machines
