Summary
Title: Revenue Cycle Refund Specialist
Department: Central Business Office
Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time team member for the role of Revenue Cycle Refund Specialist to perform refund duties as part our special teams staff.

Essential Functions:
Identify, research, and resolve all refund requests in the refund queues in a timely and accurate manner. Interpret EOBs and contact insurance companies.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have experience in meeting people and dealing with them under adverse conditions. General computer skills. Solid understanding of all insurances and basic processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, typing speed of 30 wpm, 10 key by touch, highly attentive to customer care and service, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance procedures, denial management, billing/coding guidelines, experience in primary care.
Environmental Conditions:
Works in well-lighted, heated and ventilated building. Exposure to blood borne pathogens are of low risk. Hours of duty may be irregular.
Physical Requirements:
Must be mature and have a sincere dedicated attitude. Must be able to maintain a pleasant, even temperament while working under pressure and heavy workloads. Must be able to conduct business in person and on the telephone. Must be able to read printed material and computer screens. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
