Role Description

Head of department responsible for all in-house experiential production; you will own the execution process from drawing to delivery across an expanding events and partnerships portfolio.

You will be responsible for tendering, procuring and contracting 3rd parties to service the requirments of our partnership needs and you will appoint project managers and manage them.

You will lead client discussions and be an objectively critical, but most trusted advisor, with huge gravitas.

You will ensure we utilise the right teams for build, live and the storage of CapEx assets.

You will make agency engagement, activation fabrication, supporting paperwork, build, derig and live event operation look effortless.

You will liaise with others but you will be in charge. You won’t be bound by a drawing, but will be driven to deliver what is needed.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Consierable experience in a senior leadership role in experiential marketing and event production
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Ability to motivate a team, hit deadlines consistently and to keep projects on track; pushing continuously forward
  • Proven track record of managing teams at large-scale events and/or across experiential campaigns (team management of at least 5 people)
  • Excellent logistical planning and coordination abilities backed with business acumen
  • Foresight to anticipate problems, along with understanding how best to address them
  • Recruiting experience
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Client facing knowhow
  • Strong problem solving skills in both the long term and with immediate situations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce
  • Full UK driver’s licence

What the role includes

Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Run the procurement process of agency selection
  • Negotiate and execute contracts
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with vendors, agencies, and other external partners
  • Manage vendor performance ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness

Operational & Team Leadership:

  • Ensure all experiential activities are executed seamlessly, from planning through post-season analysis
  • Develop and deploy robust plans for scale and success
  • Lead a team of professionals
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment focused on operational excellence
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both within and outside the organisation.
  • Represent the department in meetings with senior management and external clients

Risk Management & Troubleshooting:

  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address issues that may arise during planning or execution
  • Quickly resolve any operational challenges, minimising escalation
  • Use insights to optimize future experiential strategies
  • Ensure all activations are safe, compliant, and align with the brand strategy and objectives

Budget Management:

  • Direct budgets for all experiential projects, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality
  • Support sales propositions
  • Track and report on budget performance, identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements
