We are searching for the best talent for Training Manager

Purpose:

  • The Training Manager reports directly to the Senior Training Manager and is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Training Program that ensures full compliance with all applicable local, national, and international regulations and standards, as well as franchise processes, policies, and Johnson & Johnson corporate requirements.

  • The Training Manager serves as a key member of the Quality team and leads the deployment of training strategies across the site(s), ensuring that activities are executed in alignment with local and franchise priorities and overall business needs.

  • The Training Manager defines and manages training-related projects, assigns and oversees personnel, supervises daily work activities, and evaluates and communicates outcomes to stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.

You will be responsible for:

  • In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: • Establishes and maintains a robust Training Program that ensures full compliance with all applicable local, national, and international regulatory standards, as well as company processes, corporate policies, and Johnson & Johnson requirements.

  • Provides timely support for Franchise Training initiatives and projects, providing feedback during project planning and actively supporting execution at the site level.

  • Ensures that individuals serving as trainers are fully qualified, demonstrating the necessary knowledge, experience, competency, and self-sufficiency to perform their roles effectively.

  • Develops and maintains programs that ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant standards, procedures, and regulations.

  • Oversees the overall management of Training processes and ensures a state of continual compliance readiness.

  • Defines site-level training priorities and drives successful execution of Training requirements to support business commitments related to Service, Quality, Financials, and Talent Development.

  • Performs additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Training Manager

  • Creates, submits, and effectively manages the Training organization’s budget to ensure appropriate resource allocation and financial stewardship.

  • Ensures that all personnel under his/her supervision comply with health, safety, and environmental guidelines, and that the necessary resources are available, adequate, and properly maintained.

  • Communicates business-related issues, risks, and opportunities to the next level of management in a timely and effective manner.

  • Executes the periodic review process within the PLM system for all Training procedures under his/her ownership.

  • Executes the periodic review process within the LMS for all curricula under his/her ownership.

  • Owns and maintains applicable mandatory and annual training curricula for the sites under his/her responsibility.

Supervision Responsibilities

  • Manages the technical and administrative personnel within the Training department, serving as their direct supervisor. Responsible for providing direction, coordinating activities, establishing team structure, and evaluating team performance.

  • Hires, develops, and retains qualified personnel, and effectively manages employee performance, including coaching, issue resolution, and talent development.

  • Responsible for communicating business-related issues, risks, and opportunities to the next level of management.

  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines as applicable.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support departmental or organizational needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.

  • Master’s or Doctorate in a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated personnel management responsibilities.

  • Preferred fields of study include Science, Learning & Development, or related disciplines.

  • Preferred industry experience includes Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Pharmaceuticals.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific literature, financial reports, and legal documents.

  • Demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisions with limited data.

  • Strong presentation skills, with the capability to effectively communicate information to senior management, public groups, and Boards of Directors.

  • Proven ability to manage complexity in dynamic and cross‑functional environments.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw sound conclusions.

  • Proficiency in computer systems and associated software applications.

  • Ability to effectively negotiate and interact with representatives from various government agencies and external auditors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with employees at all organizational levels and with external suppliers.

  • In‑depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and their relationship to regulatory frameworks, including FDA, QSR, and ISO standards.

  • Knowledge of, or certification in, TWI (Training Within Industry) methodology is preferred.
