The Automation Manufacturing Engineer is a subject matter expert for common mechanical, electrical, automated, and vision inspection systems across the manufacturing/production facility

  • Develop, modify, and update PLC programming (Mitsubishi and Allen Bradly)
  • Provide technical hands on experience with programming in Vision inspection systems (Cognex and Keyence)
  • Robotics programming (Universal Robot and Aubo robotics)
  • Be the internal subject matter resource for all electrical systems including PLC, HMI, drives, lighting, power distribution, motors, equipment troubleshooting, system integration, sensors, electro-mechanical devices, robotics, and instrumentation.
  • Research, design, evaluate, or incorporate. electrical products, equipment, systems, or processes.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Work with engineering, maintenance, and operations to make necessary changes to equipment for process improvements, system upgrades, preventative procedures, product changes, and new product launches.
  • Improve equipment uptime and contribute to plant reliability efforts.
  • Provide engineering technical support to maintenance and plant operations to deliver performance, safety, and quality improvements—as well as cost-savings initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to engineering firms, construction contractors, and equipment vendors.
  • Will provide project management and engineering support for CAPEX projects of varying magnitude from routine parts replacement to large scale plant expansions.
  • Manage vendors to provide services ensuring that plant standards and best practices are followed.

  • Successful applicants will have a technical degree, military experience, or certified trade training with a minimum of at least five- ten years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of: computer-based systems, electro-mechanical equipment, vision inspection equipment and PLC control systems.
