JOB SUMMARY:

The Product Line Sales Specialist plays a key role in the planning and execution for the Slingshot business objectives, retail, and field sales communications. The role also requires ongoing and effective alignment between product, field sales, and the dealer network.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Retail Planning & Execution

  • Responsible for building and executing industry-leading retail plans to achieve business objectives
  • Analyzes business data to understand retail trends and makes recommendations based on the data
  • Conducts retail, inventory and stocking analysis,  utilitzing data to identify opportunities and drive improvements

Field Sales Support

  • Primary Slingshot business point of contact for the field sales team
  • Interfaces with field sales and dealers to resolve issues and consider special requests such as program exceptions, flooring assistance, and retail accelerators
  • Develops tools and resources to enhance field sales team productivity based on current business needs
  • Leads the development of semi-annual sales meetings

Product Leadership

  • Key contributor to the product team
  • Assists in the execution of new product launches including pricing, ordering, and retail channel updates
  • Execute role as PLS subject matter expert and key point of contact on product team
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, marketing and SIOP teams to achieve product goals

Promotional Strategies

  • Key contributor to the overall promotional strategy and objectives
  • Assists in the strategy, development, planning, and execution of share-growing retail programs

Field Communication

  • Executes role as point of contact to the field sales team on all Slingshot communications
  • Creates and initiates dealer communications relevant to product line sales specific matters
  • Provides “voice of the field” input to support Slingshot marketing strategy and tactical decision-making

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or similar field required
  • 4+ years of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Proven track record of driving results and retail sales growth
  • In-depth knowledge of dealers and the channels in which they operate to thoroughly understand the powersports retail landscape
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented and a creative thinker with outstanding organization, communication, project management and analytical skills, strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success working in a very fast-paced environment and ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and interact with all levels of management
  • An understanding, appreciation, and/or passion for powersports and related/similar businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Location – Medina, MN
  • Corporate office environment
  • Travel required, up to 10-15% of the time

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $74,000 to $98,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.  While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
