Job Description

Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Utility Worker at our Chico, CA location.

SUMMARY

The Utility Person is responsible for assisting the parts departments by stocking and/or pulling inventory. Will also be responsible delivering parts to customer’s job sites; as well as maintaining parts departments housekeeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the parts departments with stocking and pulling inventory.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Deliver parts to customer’s job sites, collect necessary documentation and payment.
• Perform miscellaneous clean-up of the parts department and maintain contamination control standards.
• Must be able to perform general labor duties as required.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Take care of environmental concerns.
• Operate forklift to operate essential functions of the job.

• Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.  
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.  
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. 
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/ manager.

• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Strong customer service, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of experience in heavy duty parts department warehouse, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay rate for this position is: $21.55. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.
