Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Manging the different work packages of the project
Lead end-to-end supply chain operations covering procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, logistics, and supplier management
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation objectives
Manage supplier relationships, conduct negotiations, and lead RFQ, RFP, and contract processes
Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stock optimization to minimize excess and shortages
Ensure timely issuance and tracking of purchase orders, expediting deliveries and resolving shortages
Monitor key supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, lead time, and cost savings
Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality teams to align supply chain plans
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade policies, and internal procurement standards
Lead supplier performance reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive cost reduction, lead time reduction, and supply risk mitigation projects
Job Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in specific scope
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent
Good written and oral communication skills
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, and cost reduction initiatives
