Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manging the different work packages of the project

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations covering procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, logistics, and supplier management

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation objectives

  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct negotiations, and lead RFQ, RFP, and contract processes

  • Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and stock optimization to minimize excess and shortages

  • Ensure timely issuance and tracking of purchase orders, expediting deliveries and resolving shortages

  • Monitor key supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, lead time, and cost savings

  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality teams to align supply chain plans

  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade policies, and internal procurement standards

  • Lead supplier performance reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Drive cost reduction, lead time reduction, and supply risk mitigation projects

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in specific scope

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations, inventory optimization, and cost reduction initiatives
