Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Prescott is seeking an innovative, student-centered, and caring Area Coordinator (AC) to share in the responsibility for overall direction of a comprehensive, housing and residence life operation serving ac ommunity of 400 - 800 residential students. 

With multiple new residential facilities coming online and the on-campus population projected to grow to 1,900 residential students next year, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and elevate a thriving residential experience at a nationally recognized institution. The Area Coordinator will oversee a current portfolio of 400+ beds, a team of 10-26 paraprofessional staff, with continued growth on the horizon. 

The primary focus is on creating environments in the halls where residents and staff are able to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. The AC will accomplish these goals by exemplifying the department's core values of Customer Service, Connections, and Care.

Position Details: 
This is a full-time, 12-month, live-on position with on-call responsibilities that plays a pivotal role in student experience and campus infrastructure planning.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree.

- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in housing and residence life. 
- Strong organizational, technology, supervisory, and administrative skills 
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across campus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Student Development, Leadership, or Related Field
- Experience supervising full-time professional staff
