Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Embedded PP/DS Consultant to join our digital supply chain transformation team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA embedded PP/DS functionalities, with hands-on experience in master data configuration, scheduling board features, and advanced planning topics such as shelf-life planning, subcontracting, intercompany processes, PP Optimizer, IBP–PP/DS integration, MRP Live, heuristics, and planning board customization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the configuration and activation of PP/DS master data including PDS, resources, shifts, and planning versions.
• Design and implement heuristic-based planning runs for automated, rule-driven production planning.
• Develop pegging strategies and multilevel pegging logic for accurate component traceability.
• Configure shelf-life planning heuristics and integrate batch expiry data into planning logic.
• Implement subcontracting scenarios with and without production orders.
• Support intercompany planning flows and deployment logic across global sites.
• Integrate PP/DS with SAP IBP using CI-DS and RTI for real-time planning.
• Align PP/DS with S/4HANA core modules (PP, MM, SD) for seamless data flow and execution.
• Perform CIF integration and troubleshoot master/transactional data transfers.
• Configure and execute MRP Live and PP/DS heuristics for finite and infinite planning scenarios.
• Customize heuristic profiles and planning board profiles for business-specific requirements.
• Customize interactive PP/DS planning boards (Gantt charts) for production planners.
• Enhance visibility into order scheduling, capacity bottlenecks, and sequence-dependent setups.
• Lead workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into system designs.
• Conduct training sessions and provide post-go-live hypercare and stabilization support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of PP/DS solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in SAP PP/DS (preferably embedded in S/4HANA).
• Strong understanding of master data: Material Master, Work Centers, BOMs, Routings, Production Versions.
• Proven experience in shelf-life planning, subcontracting, DS Optimizer, and intercompany processes.
• Hands-on expertise in IBP–PP/DS integration and real-time planning.
• Deep knowledge of MRP Live, heuristic configuration, and planning board customization.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps for PP/DS and capacity monitoring.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP Certifications in PP/DS or IBP.
• APICS CPIM or PMP certification.
• Experience in industries such as FMCG, Chemicals, Automotive, or Consumer Electronics.
