We are actively looking for a full-time experienced and detail-oriented technical writer to join our global Product Content & Operations documentation team.
In this role, you will create user and administrator documentation for a cutting-edge, Cloud-based customer experience platform. Collaborating closely with senior technical writers, product managers, and engineering teams, you will help enhance our customer content experience at Five9 and elevate our product documentation to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Develop, organize, and maintain high-quality user and administrator documentation for audiences of varying technical expertise.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to update existing documentation supporting new features and functionality.
- Working in conjunction with senior staff, manage documentation projects with tight timelines by gathering requirements, drafting content, creating supporting visuals, coordinating SME reviews, and delivering final content for publishing.
- Build in-depth knowledge of our customers and products to create user-focused, accessible content.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with company style guidelines and maintains a consistent, professional tone.
Qualifications
- Proven experience writing documentation for web-based applications or processes. Experience with topic-based authoring tools like MadCap Flare is a plus.
- Strong portfolio showcasing writing examples and the ability to discuss them in detail.
- Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with Agile project management and source control tools such as Jira and GitLab is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience as a software technical writer.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
