Automation Project Manager

Welcome to Global Automation – Enzymes Europe

We are a department dedicated to executing high-impact CAPEX projects that support Novonesis’s growth strategy. Working from Kalundborg, Bagsvaerd, or Fuglebakken, you’ll collaborate closely with a network of skilled engineers, project portfolio managers, and compliance experts to drive transformative automation initiatives.

In this position, you’ll make an impact by…

… leading end-to-end automation and process development projects, ensuring they meet time, scope, and budget objectives with a keen focus on safety. Your experience within the process industry will be critical as you initiate and oversee exciting capacity expansion projects. This role requires an understanding of complex CAPEX processes and electrical installations within an automation framework to achieve optimal project outcomes.

In addition, some of your key tasks will include:

  • Leading projects covering planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution.

  • Building and motivating high-performance automation project teams.

  • Ensuring project quality, budget, and timeline control and addressing any performance issues proactively.

  • Overseeing external consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with project standards.

  • Managing third-party automation design and programming providers to meet Novonesis standards.

You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across engineering, operations, and compliance teams, fostering seamless teamwork and building trust to drive project success.

Potentially relevant experience:

  • A degree in a relevant field.

  • 5+ years’ experience in automation project management.

  • Strong knowledge of ISA S88 standards and PLC structures is an advantage.

  • Proven skills in managing CAPEX processes and project budgets.

We are looking for an organized, driven professional with strong automation insights, excellent presentation skills, and a good grasp of CAPEX project management. Your interpersonal skills will be essential for fostering effective partnerships across the organization and with external stakeholders.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to balance independent work with effective team collaboration. Being proactive, open-minded, and adept at handling varied tasks will allow you to drive successful project outcomes while contributing positively to the team’s development.
