Job Description

The Product Activation Associate Director is responsible for defining and leading the activation strategy that drives successful adoption of product capabilities across global markets. This role operates within the content supply chain space, with responsibility for enabling adoption and value realization across Adobe products, content creation, content review, Veeva PromoMats, and emerging AI capabilities.

This leader partners across product, business, operations, and market teams to enable adoption of new and existing functionality through effective communications, stakeholder engagement, user readiness, and performance measurement. The role requires strong cross-functional leadership in a matrixed environment, with accountability for activation planning, market onboarding, capability adoption, and KPI tracking to continuously improve product success outcomes across content supply chain capabilities and platforms.

This role will report into Executive Director, Content Enablement & Execution. It will supervise and coordinate the work of others in a matrixed environment, without formal direct reports.

Key Accountabilities

Product Activation Strategy and Planning:

  • Define and lead the product activation strategy to drive successful onboarding, adoption, and sustained use of product capabilities across markets and user groups, with particular focus on content supply chain platforms and capabilities

  • Translate product roadmap priorities into activation plans that align training, communications, stakeholder readiness, and rollout activities with business objectives

  • Establish activation approaches, standards, and repeatable playbooks that enable consistency, scale, and effective market execution

Market Onboarding and Rollout Delivery:

  • Lead onboarding and rollout activities for new markets, teams, or capabilities, ensuring readiness plans are in place and execution is delivered with clarity and discipline

  • Partner closely with market stakeholders to assess needs, manage dependencies, address adoption risks, and ensure successful transition into new ways of working

  • Support rollout of new functionality by coordinating activation activities that maximize awareness, readiness, and value realization while minimizing disruption, including capabilities across Adobe products, content creation and review workflows in Veeva PromoMats, and AI-enabled solutions

Training, Enablement, and Adoption:

  • Own the strategy for user training and enablement, ensuring materials, channels, and delivery approaches are tailored to audience needs and support adoption at scale

  • Develop and continuously improve onboarding journeys, training programs, and adoption interventions that help users build confidence and effectively use product capabilities

  • Monitor user feedback and adoption barriers, and partner with product and operational teams to improve the overall user experience and effectiveness of activation efforts

KPI Measurement and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and manage KPIs for activation and product success, including measures related to onboarding, training effectiveness, feature adoption, engagement, and business value realization

  • Use data and insights to evaluate impact of activation efforts, identify improvement opportunities, and inform recommendations for future rollouts and product enhancements

  • Create transparency through reporting and leadership updates that communicate progress, risks, outcomes, and actions needed to improve adoption success

Cross-Functional Partnership and Change Leadership:

  • Act as a strategic partner across product, operations, analytics, support, and market teams to align activation priorities, timing, and execution plans

  • Drive stakeholder alignment and change readiness by clearly articulating the value of new capabilities, expected impacts, and required actions across affected groups

  • Influence decisions and remove barriers through strong communication, structured problem solving, and effective engagement in a global matrixed environment

Success Criteria for the role:

  • Markets and user groups are onboarded effectively, with clear readiness plans, strong stakeholder engagement, and smooth adoption of product capabilities

  • Training and enablement programs increase user confidence, accelerate time to value, and support sustained use of key product functionality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, technology, life sciences, or a related field required, advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in product activation, change enablement, adoption, go-to-market readiness, or a related field for enterprise platforms or digital capabilities in a complex, matrixed organization

  • Demonstrated success designing and executing onboarding, training, and rollout strategies that improve user adoption and accelerate realization of business value

  • Experience leading and supervising workstreams or project teams through influence, including coordinating the work of others, driving accountability, and delivering outcomes without formal direct line management responsibility

  • Strong experience partnering with product management, operations, technology, analytics, and market stakeholders to align activation plans with business priorities and user needs

  • Proven ability to define, track, and interpret product adoption and success metrics, using insights to improve rollout effectiveness, user engagement, and ongoing optimization

  • Experience leading global or multi-market implementations, including management of dependencies, stakeholder readiness, communications, and adoption risks

  • Strong understanding of working in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments, with the ability to embed appropriate governance, consistency, and quality into activation activities

  • Preferred experience with digital product adoption and enablement programs across content supply chain capabilities, including Adobe products, content creation and review workflows, Veeva PromoMats, and AI-enabled solutions

  • Strong strategic and execution mindset, with the ability to translate product priorities into clear activation plans and measurable adoption outcomes

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across markets, functions, and leadership levels in a matrixed environment

  • Strong change leadership capabilities, including the ability to drive readiness, build user confidence, and sustain adoption of new capabilities

  • Analytical and outcome-oriented approach, with the ability to define KPIs, interpret adoption data, and use insights to improve product performance and user experience

  • Strong collaboration and leadership presence, with the ability to work through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and deliver results through others
