Team Description


Sabre is seeking a talented Software Engineer Intern to support the Automation and AI Team. Out team designs and develops the RPA and AI platform for internal stakeholders and hotel customers.

At Sabre, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. In this role you will plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.

Role and Responsibilities:

What will you achieve?
  • Develop Software Solutions: Assist in designing and developing Java-based applications, focusing on backend development, APIs, and integrations.

  • Write Clean and Efficient Code: Follow coding standards and best practices to write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code.

  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with senior developers, QA engineers, and project managers to understand requirements and contribute to the design and development of features.

  • Testing and Debugging: Assist in writing unit tests, debugging issues, and troubleshooting code to ensure the quality and performance of the applications.

  • Documentation: Help document code, technical specifications, and user guides for internal and external use.

  • Learn and Grow: Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and training sessions to improve your Java development skills and learn industry best practices.

  • Project Involvement: Contribute to real-world projects that will impact the company’s products or services.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Currently studying or recently completed a degree/diploma/certificate in Software Engineering, Software Development or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles.

    • Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.

    • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

    • Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

    • Exposure to frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate is a bonus.

    • Knowledge of software development tools like IDE (e.g., IntelliJ, Eclipse) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Self-motivated with a passion for learning new technologies and frameworks. 

  • Nice To Have Skills: 

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).

    •  Any prior internship or project experience in Java development is advantageous.

The internship period is 6 months, with the possibility of extension. It is a part-time modality, with a daily commitment of 6 hours.
