About Capital Group:
Capital Group is one of the world’s largest and most well-respected investment managers with more than USD 2.3 trillion assets under management. We manage assets for individual investors, financial intermediaries and institutions around the world. Since 1931, we have been singularly focused on delivering superior, consistent results for long-term investors using high- conviction portfolios, rigorous research and individual accountability. A private firm, Capital’s only focus is investment management. Based in Los Angeles, we employ over 8,000 associates worldwide with investment and distribution offices in the US, Europe and Asia. European operations began in 1962 when Capital opened an office in Geneva, which today employs more than 150 associates. In 1979 Capital opened an office in London which has since grown to more than 675 associates.
In 2012, with a view to balancing our business globally, the Capital Group Management Committee approved a plan to build the retail and institutional business across Europe & Asia. In Europe, additional offices have been opened in Luxembourg, Zurich, Madrid, Milan Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and in Asia an expanded team across offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney is focused on growth for the region.
In 2020, a further plan for acceleration in Europe and Asia was approved and the Europe and Asia Client Group (‘EACG’) was officially formed. This plan involves growing the business from its current AUM of circa $50 billion to $85 billion by 2025 and includes the build-out of existing and new capabilities required to support our Financial Intermediary and Institutional clients across our core markets in Europe and Asia.
One of these new capabilities supporting this growth was the launch of Capital Learning to provide product agnostic client-centric training across our core financial intermediary and institutional markets. Our goal is to partner with our clients in supporting their business goals, building long-term relationships and brand awareness.
