The Order Management Intern will be responsible for managing incoming sales orders through the sales process from entry to final delivery to the customer in support of Oshkosh Defense. This role enters, manages, and removes obstacles to ensure on-time quality delivery to our aftermarket government and commercial customers (domestic and international).

YOUR IMPACT

  • Receipt and review of customer orders (validate pricing/delivery aligns with quote), and sales order entry into our ERP system.
  • Manage orders to ensure on-time delivery of parts to customer.
  • Manage incoming customer inquiries regarding parts sales, order statuses, and post-shipment concerns.
  • Preparation of customer quote requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Become familiar with and understand import and export licensing regulations and challenges relating to international business.
  • Coordinate with customers, warehouse operations, purchasing, pricing, contracts, program management, quality, engineering, logistics, and finance departments as needed to meet contract requirements and achieve forecasted sales.
  • Update dashboards, A3 reports, swim lane diagrams, process maps, and other visual management tools to update leadership and other team members on program metrics, KPIs, project statuses, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Student working towards a bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship.
  • This is a year-round opportunity. Individual must be willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for full duration or part of the internship.
  • Must be willing to work full time hours during summers and breaks, and part time hours (around 20 hours per week) during the school year.
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or later.

  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Individual must be a self-starter, flexible, highly organized

  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Ability to follow documented standard operating procedures
  • Drive for continuous improvement
