As the Engineering Technical Type Specialist/Instructors you will be responsible for delivering aircraft type training, both Theory and Practical on course (POC), as well as operational training including Technical and Non-Technical Training needs. You will ensure Qantas Group Engineering and Customer engineering staff (LAME/AME/Apprentices) are skilled to perform fleet maintenance tasks, provide subject matter expert advice and support to Qantas Engineering by delivering theory and practical technical training, maintain relevance/ currency of maintenance work instructions/processes and training materials.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Clearly demonstrable experience in aircraft technical type training delivery
Certificate IV in Aeroskills, an equivalent or the ability to obtain the competencies associated with the Certificate IV
CASA/EASA type licence on Airbus/Boeing aircraft is highly desirable
A Minimum of Cert IV Training & Assessment or equivalent (essential)
Highly developed computer skills
Excellent customer service skills, capable of identifying customer needs
Understanding and Knowledge of the Human Factors Framework (essential)
Ability to work under pressure in a highly dynamic environment and effectively negotiate positive outcomes
Professional work ethic that ensures the highest standards of training and training outcomes are maintained
Proven ability as a positive team member in a highly diverse and demanding workplace
Flexibility in delivering training to align with operational requirements and deadlines
