Caregivers in the G20/H22 Neurological Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provide care to complex neurological and surgical patients, ranging from young adult to geriatric, with diagnoses of conditions such as ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subdural hematomas, status epilepticus/seizures, brain tumors, neuromuscular disorders and spinal injuries. This is a highly diverse unit where caregivers are an integral part of promoting early patient mobility. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, administering medication and treatments, assessing and coordinating patients’ discharge plans, and monitoring, recording and communicating patients’ condition.
