NVIDIA is leading the way in groundbreaking developments in Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing and Visualization. NVIDIA GPUs serve as the visual cortex of modern computers and are at the heart of our products and services. Our work opens up new universes to explore, enables amazing creativity and discovery, and powers innovations such as Large Language Model (LLM) AI engines to autonomous cars. NVIDIA is looking for outstanding people like you to help us accelerate the next wave of technological innovation.

We are seeking Systems Engineers to join our Datacenter System Engineering (DCSE) Team to help deliver the next generation of DSCI High Performance Computing (HPC) server products. You will be working with a team of designers, programmers and data center engineers on the definition, development, and deployment of the most sophisticated GPU-based server designs in the world. DCSE System Engineers are part of a multidisciplinary team of elite engineering talent. We help navigate critical decisions in our server development efforts by devising strategies that enable the integration of silicon, optics, compute modules, baseboards, thermal-mechanical and industrial design elements into HPC servers, which are then used to implement datacenter clusters. The qualified candidate will possess a balance of skills including electrical engineering, knowledge of software, firmware, and embedded systems. An in-depth understanding of Linux is highly valuable. Experience in validation and debugging Enterprise Class server computer systems is a key skill.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner closely with architecture and design teams to ensure products under development are functional, serviceable, manufacturable and reliable.

  • Perform bring-ups of new hardware and tackle tough system and board level issues.

  • Our System Engineers are among the first internal users of early prototypes of new products, and help clear the path for release to our external customers by refining these products to deliver optimal usability, quality and deployability.

  • Work in close partnership with validation engineers, and participate in collaborative development efforts with firmware and software engineers to test product prototypes.

  • Define and test diagnostic software for engineering testing, production testing and debug of Enterprise Class HPC Servers.

What we want to see:

  • MS-BS/EE or EECE required or equivalent experience (Masters preferred) in Applied Science or Engineering

  • 6+ years of overall experience.

  • 5 or more years of relevant engineering experience in a product-development environment.

  • Familiarity with the Linux operating system, CLI shells, programming, and scripting.

  • Background in development or testing of Server HW/FW elements

  • Experience in the development or use of Diagnostic Test Software for Servers.

  • Hands-on experience with Tektronix and Agilent oscilloscopes along with debugging techniques to analyze board level design issues.

  • Experience using Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry (Concept HDL) design tools and Allegro PCB Layout.

  • Exposure to high speed signaling interfaces and standards.

  • Exposure or Background in DC/DC power supply design and validation.

With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking people in the world working for us and, due to unprecedented growth, our marketing teams are rapidly growing. If you're creative and autonomous with a real passion for you work, we want to hear from you.

The base salary range is 156,000 USD - 299,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
