Role Title: Fixed Income Trade Operations Associate Sr.

Role summary:

Works independently on standardized/recurring assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior staff on complex projects, analyses, and tasks. Independently executes the primary functions of Trade Operations, preforms and/or monitors more complex accounting and operational duties which includes post-trade processing of, fixed income instruments, derivatives, foreign exchange, fail management, and collateral management for investment vehicles servicing the institutional retail and high-net worth distribution channels.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

  • Performs and/or monitors functions necessary to support the investment process by providing operational service to internal and external business partners

  • Directly interacts with counterparties, custodians, prime brokers, and external vendors and partners with internal stakeholders including the investment group, trading, investment control, client services, legal & compliance, and other investment operations groups to instruct trade, correct trades, and resolve issues

  • Functions in team may include trade confirmation, settlement, claims, client reporting inquiries, trade cover currency decisions, account onboarding, processes to support new products, ensuring regulatory compliance, and ad hoc requests

  • Utilizes various internal and external systems, reports, and sources to ensure records are accurate and timely with review and approval of more senior analyst

  • Maintains a high-level of attention to detail and performs self-review of work and peer review of some periodic/production work

  • Identifies and assesses business risk (i.e. applicability of regulatory requirements by investment type) and determines impacts within the company and to clients

  • Demonstrates initiative by identifying and communicating issues to reviewers/managers/others

  • Work seamlessly with sites globally to support 24-5 operational model

  • Identifies and implements process improvements

  • Models skills and technical knowledge and provides support to ew associates

  • May act as a resource and provide guidance to newer associates

  • Provides operational and technical guidance on internal controls to other departments

Business & Technical Skills:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of securities and investment operations, including characteristics of various investment instruments and market practices, and ability to apply them to work assignments

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft, and other business applications and the ability to apply them to work assignments

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
