Research AdministrationKey Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
Plan and coordinate meetings and events, including scheduling, room reservations, catering, and setup/teardown.
Maintain organized and accurate records and files.
Manage calendars and travel logistics for multiple senior leaders within Research Administration.
Coordinate and support the scheduling of complex, multi-participant projects and initiatives.
Serve as the primary contact for mail sorting/distribution and main office phone line inquiries.
Act as the purchasing and travel coordinator for designated departments or divisions.
Provide cross-coverage and collaborative support to other administrative professionals in Research Administration.
Serve as a positive and professional liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners, vendors, and agencies.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the goals of Research Administration.

Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, project management, or a related field. Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Work Experience:
5 years of relevant administrative experience.
Experience using Workday or similar enterprise resource systems.
Experience meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience:
1 year of experience supporting senior leadership, including calendar and meeting coordination.
Experience scheduling meetings with large or diverse participant groups.
Prior administrative experience in an academic medical center or university setting.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
